书摘(卓越) N: No. Yugoslavia. E: Yugoslavia. So your accent is very close to a Yugosla-vian accent. N: Or Bulgarian. E: How about you? T: My name is Tennyson. I'm from the U.S. Originally from Jamaica. My native language is English. It's influenced a lot by colonization.jamaica was colonized by Britain. Jamaicaalso is a Caribbean Island so we have a certain lilt in our ac-cent. We have a certain cadence that's somewhat musical, but l also have lived in the U.S. for 12 years and that also has shaped the way I speak English. E: Yes, l can hear it in your accent. It sounds quite Amer-ican. But if I really listen I can also hear the Jamaicanflavour, the Caribbean flavour. You are right. It's more mu-sical. J: I think a British speaker is much more easier for me. E: How about you? T: I really don't have diffioulty. Maybe part of that is be-cause I've done a lot training and teaohing. So I've been ex-posed to people from all over. I've had just trained myself to listen to people's talk, so I really don't find any diffioulty. E: I don't find too muoh trouble either. But I must saythat sometimes the accent in southern part of the U. S. in the mountains is diffioult to understand. They have a very …… |
